5 Tips That Make Traveling Easy

What are the most common fears when getting ready to travel? Safety and forgetting something you need. When you're preparing to hit to road you want to make sure all your ducks are in a row. A few questions I am sure you're familiar with are, "Do you have everything we need and do we have a plan?" So we put together some great tips that could help your trip planning easier.

1. Pre-Pack in Your Head

When I was around 12 years old, I was out riding horses with friends and I kept telling my friends, "You guys I have to go, I have so much to pack!" I was leaving for camp that next day. One of our trainers gave me advice that I have never forgotten. You need to Pre Pack in your head and it makes things go much smoother for when you actually begin packing.

So next time you're busy driving home and all worried about packing, just begin thinking about what you're going to pack. Then once you're home all you will have to do is put it in your bag!

2. Categorize Your Suitcase

One of the best things I do is categorize my suitcase and divide my items into their own bags. You can do this in so many different ways: an outfit/day for each bag or you can separate your clothing into categories, all shirts go in this one, etc.

You can purchase categorized bags here or use ziplock baggies or I have even repurposed sheet sleeves (the clear plastic bags that sheets come in). Whatever you use, just make sure you can see what it in them. You'll thank yourself later.

3. Always Have Your Mini-Supplies On Hand

When you are always stocked up on your mini supplies, things like travel toothpaste, soap, shampoo and moisturizer, packing becomes super easy and you're basically ready for the next adventure at any point in time. When you get home from one trip, refill your travel containers so it is ready for the next.

4. Choose Versatile Clothing

Our go-to packing guide is here. When you pack items that can be worn in many different ways, you not only get a lighter suitcase, but you get this effortless classy vibe! Check out this link, lay your clothes out on your bed and get started. I bet you have similar items to these in your closet right now!
